How Flock Receiving Works
In the office, trucks can be scheduled for receiving, and key details such as farm, flock, date, and time can be set up. Office users can also assign yard or bay locations for trucks upon arrival.
When a truck arrives at the scale shack, the driver identifies their trailer and verifies that the schedule information is correct. Drivers can also enter required details, such as the time they left the farm and the number of birds in their load.
The weight of the truck and trailer is the captured on the truck scale.
Symphony can print a tag for the driver that shows any required data, and also direct the driver to correct unloading location.
After the truck is fully unloaded, Symphony weighs it as it exits the yard. This process subtracts the truck’s tare weight from the total, leaving the weight of the unloaded birds.
