Sales: Account Manager

For over 40 years, our systems have been implemented in meat processing plants of all sizes across North America. Carlisle Technology’s Symphony Solution integrates industrial grade hardware with MES and WMS software to provide a 360-degree view of a meat processing plant’s operations.
About the role
Our Sales Team plays a critical role in strengthening our brand, acquiring new customers, driving revenue, and supporting existing clients. We are seeking a results-driven, technology‑savvy Account Manager to join this team.
The successful candidate will manage and grow relationships within an existing account base, propose effective technical solutions, and proactively identify new opportunities within the industry. This role is responsible for the full sales cycle: opening opportunities, presenting solutions, preparing proposals, closing deals, and supporting customers across both new and existing accounts. The Account Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales.

- 5+ years’ experience in technical sales (IT/tech sales preferred)
- An aptitude to quickly grasp customer requirements
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
- Meat Industry experience is preferred
What you will do:
- Win opportunities and help grow the customer install base
- Work closely with the Director of Sales to understand the sales process
- Develop a deep knowledge of our software and hardware solutions
- Visualize and effectively communicate solutions to address customer needs
- Manage the entire sales process for each of your opportunities. This includes opening opportunities, presenting solutions, preparing proposals, and closing deals.
- Manage a group of existing accounts. This responsibility includes:
- Understanding what solutions are installed at each of your accounts.
- Foster and grow relationships.
- Develop an account plan or roadmap for each account.
- Prospect for new sales opportunities
- Resolve account conflicts and AR issues.
- Hunt for new accounts within Carlisle Technology’s target market. This includes:
- Maintain a list of target accounts and develop a strategy for opening opportunities within those targets.
- Work with Marketing to create campaigns for target accounts.
- Attend tradeshows and industry events to network and build familiarity within the industry.
- Qualify any newly assigned leads.
- Develop strong relationships within the industry.
- Maintain relevant account and prospect information and notes in our CRM.
- Understand customer/prospect’s organizational structures and how to navigate them.
