The patented scale is not only exceptionally accurate but highly versatile as well. It can be used for in-motion weighing of beef sides, lamb carcasses or pork carcasses. It has a 750 pound capacity with .2 pound increments. The scale's superior design and construction allow it to stand up to the harshest packing plant environments. Another significant feature is the scale's capability to run with chain speeds ranging from 45 to 2,100 drafts per hour - the widest range in the weighing industry.
The High Accuracy In-Motion Monorail Scale provides a high degree of accuracy due to its dual load cell design and automatic conveying mechanism. The dual load cell gives the scale the smallest possible scale divisions based on NTEP approved load cells.
The conveying mechanism reduces trolley rolling and push dog problems common in competitor's scales. The automatic conveying mechanism uses a finger chain drive and drive controller to mechanically convey the trolley away from the push dog . The finger chain, which pulls the trolleys, is mounted at a 90 degree angle to the trolley strap. The trolley doesn't ride on top of the chain - reducing wear problems.
High accuracy is also achieved due to a specially designed transition rail. The transition rail allows the highly concentrated trolley load to be passed gradually from the plant's dead rail to the load cell. The transition rail keeps undesirable load-shock problems, common in other monorail designs, to a minimum. Due to its superior scale design, the conveying mechanism and transition rail work together to eliminate the need for complicated filtering processes and weight averaging.
Installing the High Accuracy In-Motion Monorail Scale simply requires cutting the meat rail in two places then installing and welding the scale structure, supports and wiring it in place.
