EARS™ - Event Alerting and Response System

EARS™ Carlisle’s Event Alerting and Response System is an add-on package to the Carlisle Information Portal (CIP). EARS can be fully managed through the CIP and will allow an administrator to set up alerts, schedule times that the system should monitor those alerts, add users to groups that should be emailed when an alert condition occurs, manage the severity level of given alerts… the list goes on.

When certain system events occur, EARS can automatically dispatch an email to pre-configured users of an email group – which group, depends on the severity of the alert. As well as an email alert, the system writes to a log file. The purpose of EARS is to provide users with the ability to initiate responses appropriate to plant issues that may occur monitored within the system. This could be a notification to an end user to make adjustments to operating system parameter to improve yields or reduce giveaway or could be a notification to an end user that they need to contact their maintenance department to check network cables to a certain station on the production floor because communication to the station has been interrupted.

EARS provides a management console to view and acknowledge alerts and supports selectable reason codes. Managers are provided with a Digital Dashboard which automatically shows a summary of the most common issues and their occurrence frequency.
